Job Description: Junior Developer - AML-KYC (Detica)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Developer to join our AML-KYC team, working on the Detica NetReview platform. The role involves managing Unix Shell scripting, Oracle PL/SQL, and basic Java development for backend systems. You will support compliance activities by maintaining reporting frameworks, automating tasks, and ensuring smooth operations between Unix, Oracle, and Java applications. Experience with Unix (RedHat, AIX) is essential, and familiarity with DevOps tools, job scheduling (Control-M), and middleware (JBoss, Weblogic) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the Java framework used for reporting in AML/KYC systems.
Develop and maintain Java programs to download reports from external sources and extract documents from core products.
Write, debug, and optimize Unix Shell scripts (on RedHat and AIX) for system operations and automation tasks.
Use Oracle PL/SQL for database management and queries.
Ensure effective interaction between the Unix environment, Oracle database, and Java-based applications.
Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
Must-Have Skills:
Strong experience with Unix Shell Scripting (ksh, perl, etc.), particularly on RedHat and AIX platforms.
PowerShell scripting knowledge for system automation.
Basic development experience in Java, especially for backend processes and integration tasks.
Solid understanding of Oracle PL/SQL for database management.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux and NT operating systems.
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in Unix environments.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience with DevOps tools: Jenkins, Sonarqube, Bitbucket.
Familiarity with job scheduling tools like BMC Control-M.
Knowledge of advanced Oracle technologies such as Oracle Wallet, PPRC, and Data Guard.
Exposure to big data frameworks such as Kafka, Zookeeper, and Spark.
Experience with application servers and middleware like JBoss, WebLogic, and IBM MQ.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar developer role.
Strong understanding of AML/KYC compliance processes and requirements is a plus.
Combination: Unix - Oracle-Java (Unix more crucial than Java)
Unix Shell Scripting (SGP uses RedHat, rest countries use AIX)
Basics dev exp on Java, Oracle PL/SQL
