Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Junior Developer to join our GDW team. In this role, you will support the development, integration, and maintenance of data systems within the Global Data Warehouse. You will work with a variety of platforms and technologies, focusing on data integration, processing, and reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational data experience looking to further their skills in data warehousing.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Integration & ETL Development:
Assist in building and maintaining ETL processes using tools like Informatica, TeraData, and Cloudera Hadoop.
Work on data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into the Global Data Warehouse (GDW).
Data Management & Analysis:
Use databases like AS400 DB2, TeraData, Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL to manage and query data.
Support data validation and testing using tools like Query Surge to ensure data accuracy.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Work with teams to understand data requirements and help create reports using tools like QlikSense, Power BI, and Business Objects.
Production Support:
Assist in providing production support for data systems, resolving issues, and ensuring data flow is uninterrupted.
o Contribute to the production support team as a lead for managing tasks and handling escalations.
Automation & DevOps:
Use tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Control-M to automate data processes and workflows.
Help maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Technical Skills & Tools:
Platforms/Products: Cloudera Hadoop (6.X), TeraData Inteliflex, AS400, Informatica (BDM, IDQ, IDL), MS Business Intelligence, QlikSense Discovery, SAS, Microsoft R, Experian PowerCurve.
Databases/Servers: AS400 DB2, TeraData, Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres.
Languages/Tools:
o ETL: Informatica, TeraData (TD Studio, IFX, MDM, FSLDM/GCFR), Oracle SQL Developer.
o Big Data: Cloudera (Data Science workbench, Spark, HUE, Hive, Impala, Kafka).
o Reporting & BI: Qlik Sense, Power BI, Business Objects.
o DevOps: Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarCube, Control-M, PUTTY, Aldon.
Operating Systems: AS400, AIX, Linux, Windows.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in data integration, ETL processes, and data management.
Familiarity with Cloudera Hadoop, TeraData, and Informatica platforms.
Experience working with large databases such as AS400 DB2, TeraData, Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres.
Understanding of data validation, testing practices, and data pipeline management.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience in production support, including handling team leadership tasks.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools for automating data processes.
