Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Developer to join our EDW team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, extensive experience in developing and maintaining data integration solutions, and the ability to work with large-scale databases and complex data systems. This role involves working with advanced data integration platforms, providing support for our Global Data Warehouse (GDW), and ensuring seamless data flow across various platforms and databases.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Integration & ETL Development:
Design and develop workflows to move and process data using tools like Informatica, TeraData, and Cloudera Hadoop.
Build and maintain data pipelines that load data into the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
Data Management:
Manage and query data using databases such as AS400 DB2, TeraData, Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
Ensure data quality and accuracy through data validation and testing.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Work with other teams to understand business data needs and create reports using tools like Power BI, QLIK Sense, and Business Objects.
Optimization & Performance Tuning:
Improve the performance of data processes and queries on large datasets, ensuring they run efficiently.
DevOps & Automation:
Automate data processes and deploy changes using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Control-M.
Set up CI/CD pipelines to streamline data workflows.
Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide support for data systems, resolve issues, and ensure smooth data operations.
Technical Skills & Tools:
Platforms/Products: Cloudera Hadoop (6.X), TeraData Inteliflex, AS400, Informatica (BDM, IDQ, IDL), MS Business Intelligence, QlikSense Discovery, SAS, Microsoft R, Experian PowerCurve.
Databases/Servers: AS400 DB2, TeraData, Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres.
Languages/Tools:
TL: Informatica, TeraData Studio, TD IFX, MDM, FSLDM/GCFR, Oracle SQL Developer.
Big Data: Cloudera (Data Science workbench, Spark, HUE, Hive, Impala, Kafka).
Reporting & BI: Qlik Sense, Power BI, Business Objects.
DevOps: Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarCube, Control-M, PUTTY, Aldon.
Operating Systems: AS400, AIX, Linux, Windows.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
6-9 years of experience in data warehousing, data integration, and ETL development.
Strong hands-on experience with Cloudera Hadoop, TeraData, and Informatica platforms.
Expertise in working with large-scale databases such as TeraData, Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres.
Proficiency in programming languages like SQL, Python (for data science work), and relevant big data tools.
Experience with data modeling, data architecture, and developing scalable data solutions.
Familiarity with GDW (Global Data Warehouse) operations and best practices.
