The role of the Indirect Sourcing Category Management Procurement Buyer will be to carry out Indirect Sourcing related activities in Malaysia. This would involve administering the entire procurement process from sourcing including assisting in Strategy RFP development to contract management, ensuring that the appropriate legal clauses are adhered to and that Accenture and their suppliers fulfill their contractual obligations
Responsibilities include, as required:
- Develop Sourcing Strategies RFQs
- Working with internal Accenture business stakeholders, and suppliers to determine product and service level specifications.
- Undertake appropriate market research and benchmarking of the supply base for Accenture s requirements
- Tracking on a monthly basis of savings and benefits realized from sourced agreements.
- Proactively participating in further development of procurement policies, processes, systems and tools and the administration of these systems including recommending procurement process improvements
- Extensive and in depth skills and knowledge in contract management and contract review T Cs
- To lead and negotiate high value and complex strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Cross Category experience in order of preference
- 1. Facilities Services Office Construction, Office suppliers, Outsourcing
- 2. Travel hotels, serviced apartments, car rentals
- 3. IT T Software, Hardware, Telco
- 4. Professional Services Finance payroll, relocation, HR recruitment, insurance, Marketing
Qualifications
- More than 5 years indirect procurement related experience and contract management for a wide range of spend categories and the management of suppliers
- Strong administrative, analytical, communication skills
- Proactive and customer focused approach with friendly attitude and determination to ensure excellent customer service and datelines are delivered
- Confident with good influencing skills and ability to demonstrate initiative to prioritise and ensure completion of work in an effective and timely manner
- Ability to manage relationships effectively with all levels within customer supplier organisations
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced, and results driven team environment. Fast turnaround time is expected
- Strong contract negotiator with a working understanding of local commercial law
- Experience in working with e procurement technology would be ideal i.e. Ariba, Radix, BuyNow
- In depth knowledge of local supplier base
- Moderate and or Higher competency in the use of Microsoft Office IT packages Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Business related graduate degree
- Bilingual and fluent in English
