OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
 
Experienced professional who has expertise in managing people, process and technology in the control room environment, including: shift-based team leadership, strategic program oversight, effective communication (writing, speaking and presenting) and policy and procedure development, as well as technical and project management. Responsible for driving process implementation and refinement, short and long-term project management, cross-team (control room and field-services) collaboration, maintenance of internal and external stakeholder relationships, build relationships and seek new partners across the enterprise and directly supervises a team of Function Leads.
 
Main accountabilities
  • Determine the SSC approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedule.
  • Develop and/or review estimates and estimating assumptions for the SSC's schedule, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and past experiences. The resulting estimates account for all activities in the SSC scope, including project management and application development tasks, software quality assurance reviews, and vendor and contract management activities.
  • Define team member roles and expectations, and ensure timely feedback. Ensure that SSC resources receive any necessary training and are used effectively.
  • Manage provision of SSC resources. Ensures that each SSC staff is adequately trained. Ensures that capacity plan and resource issues are properly addressed.
  • Provide guidance and fosters career and professional development of personnel. Review, and be responsible for, the overall development and integration of requirements.
  • Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the SSC services are delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations. Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks. Make adjustments as necessary.
  • Authorize financial and SSC purchases documents.
  • Define the SSC iterations strategy. Manage and evaluate iterations.

Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in a related field
  • 10+ years proven work experience in shared services or IT operations environment.
  • 8+ years proven work experience in direct supervisory of 20 – 50 employees.
  • ITIL, PMP, other management and technical certifications.

Working Conditions

  • Flexible options will be available during critical activities considering 24x7 support and on-call support services.
  • Travel is expected for this role particularly during meetings with clients and stakeholders.

  • Experience in program or project management.
  • Ability to speak, read & write Mandarin is required.
