Job Description
 

A Scrum Master is the facilitator for Scrum process (Agile Development Life Cycle) and responsible to coach our Solutions Team about agile scrum to delivering successful deliverables.  Scrum Master is a particularly challenging position as he cares about the team functionality; responsible for monitoring the scrum processes and scrum meetings; increases his team efficiency, motivates his team, spins, argues for changes that will ensure quality and timeliness.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the scrum process with the coordination of scrum team in Agile methodology.
  • Responsible to facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
  • Facilitate his team for better creativity and tries to improve the efficiency of the development team.
  • Possesses conflict resolution, does conversation by focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty and respect.
  • Protect the team from outside influences, which could otherwise interfere with the team’s ability to deliver value in a short time-box (iteration). 
  • Mentor the empowered teams and serves as the leadership proxy whose role is to assist the team in its transition to the new method, continuously facilitate a team dynamic intended to maximize performance of the team, and by continuously improving agile practices.
  • Helps product owner to make the product backlogs in good shape and make them ready for the next sprint.
  • Ability to ensure the correct use of scrum process and to track and remove impediments.
  • Lead and influence others including those more senior on best practices.


    • 6 years of experience in developing in multiple software development project teams.
    • 3 years of experience in leading multiple agile software development project teams.
    • Bachelor's or appropriate relevant experience.
    • Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc. 
    • Good skills to coach team how to follow agile scrum, which really works. 
    • Understand the basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development. 
    • Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices. 
    • Knowledge about other methodologies other than Agile-Scrum, so that he can explain other methodologies to motivate his team. 
    • Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand his team needs.

      • Desire to work in an information systems environment
      • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
