Job requirements:
Candidate should have worked in Refinery and Petrochemical companies (in Planning, Scheduling, Technical Services division) and /or delivered Planning solution to Oil and Gas clients in consulting assignments.
Candidate should have knowledge of refinery / petrochemicals plant configurations, their economics, blending operations, yield accounting, crude blending, product distribution, crude arrival sequencing.
Candidate should be familiar with typical Planning & Scheduling business processes, functional requirements, Fit-Gap analysis, vendor selection process, integration of Planning with other applications and data visualization.
Candidate must be well versed with Feedstock ranking (Indifference), Rolling Plans, Back-casting, configuration selection and plant debottlenecking studies, update of multi-period, multi-plant linear programming models.
Requisitos
Qualifications:
Engineering Degree (Tier-1 institutes) preferably Chemical
MBA or PGDM preferred not mandatory
Fluency in English
Experience:
Develop and manage comprehensive production plans for the refinery, aligning with demand forecasts, inventory targets, and business objectives.
Create and maintain detailed production schedules that optimize the use of refinery assets and ensure the timely delivery of products.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to align production plans with operational capabilities and constraints.
Utilize advanced planning tools and techniques to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and improve overall refinery efficiency.
Track production performance against plans and schedules, identify variances, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Provide clear and timely communication to internal stakeholders regarding production plans, schedules, and any changes.
Define business processes, functional requirements and key performance indicators for refinery planning / scheduling areas
Helping clients select fit-for-purpose software tools for refinery planning / scheduling areas
Implementing the tools required in the refinery planning / scheduling areas, having worked with multiple clients in the Oil & Gas industry
Other Key Competencies and Skills:
Proficiency with linear programming (LP) is a must
Excellent understanding of the entire refinery production planning process
Candidate should have familiarity with Refinery planning tools such as Honeywell RPMS, Aspen PIMS, Haverly GRTMPS, Spiral
Experience on working in tools such as Aspen Petroleum Scheduler (APS), Aspen Unified Scheduling (AUS), MBO, Spiral Schedule, Honeywell Production Scheduler, and KBC Petrosim would be added advantage.
Experience using Advanced Excel/VBA/SQL will be preferred.
