Undergraduate & MBA Careers

Accenture recruits top undergraduate and MBA students from across the United States for rewarding career opportunities in a variety of challenging and exciting areas.

We hire undergraduates for entry-level roles in the following consulting areas:

  • Technology: Our consulting teams combine technology, digital and business operations expertise to envision, design and deliver the end-to-end solutions that our clients—the world’s top organizations—need to become high-performance businesses and governments. We mobilize the right people, skills, alliances and technologies to solve the most complex technology problems and deliver innovative results.

    Working with Accenture, undergraduate hires may deliver everything from point solutions for a single business function to large, to complex systems integration installations spanning multiple businesses and functions, to unleashing the power of digital to drive growth, create new sources of value and transform business.

  • Management Consulting: Undergraduate hires join our Management Consulting Development Program (MCDP) and gain hands-on client experience in a variety of fields to develop essential core management consulting skills across a range of functional specialties. They could be involved in the analysis and development of transformational business models, through to helping clients integrate and operate them.

    Along the way, MCDP analysts get the opportunity to develop strong leadership, problem solving and people management skills.

  • Analytics: As part of our global network of 23,000+ digital professionals, undergraduate joiners will help innovate and develop new ways to deliver results for our global clients—some of the world’s leading brands and governments—as they unleash the power of digital to drive growth, create new sources of value and transform their businesses.

    From data to insights to actions, our forward-thinking analytics consultants provide analytically-informed, issue-based solutions at scale to help our clients improve outcomes and achieve high performance.

  • Strategy: Accenture is looking for top students to join our Strategy Analyst Development Program—an intensive two to three year program designed to provide hands-on client experience and leading-edge training, and develop essential core to help ensure career success.

    Strategy analysts, apply their degrees and skills to our clients’ most pressing business and technology strategy issues. Each project will offer unique career experience and opportunity to grow.

Accenture also recruits top upcoming MBA and Advanced Degree graduates for management consulting and strategy consulting careers.

  • Management Consulting: Aligned to an industry or industry grouping, MBA and Advanced Degree joiners bring strategic thinking, innovative approaches and the ability to deliver tangible value to the world's most prestigious companies and governments.

  • Strategy: As part of the 6,000+ Accenture Strategy professionals in our global community, MBA joiners will provide actionable insights to clients, helping them address priority C-suite issues with strategies they can execute with speed and at scale.

Joing Accenture at the consultant level, MBAs and Advanced Degrees will have ample opportunities to enrich their skills and expertise. We provide access to industry leading tools and resources, including an average of 80 hours of annual training through either Accenture Management Consulting University or Accenture Strategy College, to customize professional development and accelerate career advancement.

From consulting, MBAs and Advanced Degrees can aspire to a wide array of leadership roles within Accenture: lead an industry or offering group, a client account team or a line of business.


Through internships, mentoring programs and conferences, many up-and-coming students are involved with Accenture before they even graduate.

Accenture offers paid undergraduate and MBA summer internships in various locations around the United States. Interns gain first-hand exposure to the roles and responsibilities of an entry-level analysts and consultants.

Undergraduate interns attend a three-day leadership conference outside of Chicago with other summer interns, and MBA interns have the opportunity to attend Accenture Strategy College with other strategy consulting professionals for formal training and development.

Student Programs & Scholarships

Accenture Student Empowerment Program: A three-year program aimed at diverse sophomores pursuing careers in business and technology. Participants build a relationship with Accenture throughout their campus career, learn about careers in consulting, foster mentoring relationships and get the hands-on internship experience they need to choose a career path.

Accenture Women's Networking Forum: A virtual networking event with Accenture women from across various offices and career levels that helps top students develop and strengthen their leadership skills, build relationships with Accenture and virtually connect with other outstanding students in the United States and Canada. Accenture Future Technology Leaders Program: A multi-year program, global initiative Accenture is implementing in numerous countries to support undergraduate interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers and increase both the number of students with STEM degrees and their employability. Accenture Scholarship Program for Minorities: At Accenture, we have made a commitment to help support meritorious minority students in pursuit of their dreams. That’s why we established the Accenture Scholarship Program for Minorities. This scholarship was created to encourage minorities to pursue degrees in engineering, computer science, and a variety of programs related to information systems and decision or management sciences.

Recruitment Process

We have a consistent selection process that we use for all our undergraduate and MBA applications. As well as learning more about you and your skills, we also want to give you the information that you need to determine whether or not Accenture is right for you.

  • Getting Started: Your first step is probably to review this website to get a feel for who we are, the type of work we do, our working environment, our people and who we employ.

    If you are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or MBA program at a school where we actively recruit, attend events on campus—from career fairs to student workshops to panel discussions, there are a range of opportunities for you to meet Accenture recruiters and employees on campuses across the country. Check with your Campus Career Center or our Accenture Career Calendar for upcoming events.

  • Application Process: If you are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or MBA program, please check with your Campus Career Center to find out if we are recruiting on your campus. If so, be sure to apply through their career services by the resume deadline, which varies by campus. Typically, Accenture recruits undergraduates and MBAs for full-time positions during the fall campus recruiting period; internship recruiting happens during the early winter timeframe.

  • Initial Selection: Our recruiting team reviews applicant resumes and qualifications, and selects students for an initial interview based on academic background, extracurricular activities, work experience and business need. If you are selected, a recruiter will contact you to schedule the first round interview.

  • Interviews: The interview process varies depending on the role to which you have applied. Entry-level careers candidates can expect to part-take in two-three interviews that may take place on campus or in an Accenture office. During the interviews we will get to know you, understand your qualifications and interests, and evaluate your potential fit with Accenture. You will also have the opportunity to share your experience with Accenture executives, meet analysts and consultants from the local office and learn more about our company.

    Depending on the role for which you are applying, one or more of your interviews may involve a case interview where you will be asked to provide recommendations on an example client scenario, and showcase your thought process to support your rationale.

    Throughout the interview process, your recruiter will provide you with more information to help you prepare for the interview.

  • Offer: Once all interviews are complete, top candidates will be extended offers – typically soon after your final interview. Your offer will contain full details on your position, salary and benefits package.

  • Ongoing Contact: Throughout the recruiting process, Accenture recruiters and campus buddies will stay in touch with you, helping answer questions you may have. If you do accept an offer with Accenture, we provide a number of ways for you to stay in contact with our company prior to your start date.
