Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector has emerged as a major pillar in the Mauritian economy whereby the demand for ICT professionals has become more competitive than before. This conversion course has been mounted in collaboration with University of Mauritius to bridge the gap between graduate skills and the IT job market requirements.

The conversion MSc program is a master degree for students having a first degree in a discipline other than computing. The program is designed over 12 months’ intensive learning and industrial internships to complete different software development modules and multiple streams in view of catering for the evolving needs of the IT industry thus no prior knowledge of computing is required. Students will be exposed to the latest technologies and develop the technical, analytical and professional skills required to join a dynamic NEW IT workforce.

This program aims to:

MSc Applied Software Technologies

COURSE DESCRIPTION

MSc Applied Software Technologies is a conversion program designed for graduates with an Undergraduate degree in Sciences, Engineering and Mathematics who wants to build a career in Software Engineering. The program is run in Full Time mode to cover 10 taught mandatory courses plus a project over 3 semesters, resulting in 12-months intensive learning. MSc Applied Software Technologies is a 36-point as follows:

  • Software Engineering
  • Object Oriented Programming
  • Database Systems
  • Web Technologies
  • Effective and Verbal Communication
  • Agile Methodology & Quality and Continuous Integration
  • Fundamentals for a SAP consultant
  • ABAP RICEFW Development
  • Introduction to major functional processes in SAP
  • Introduction to SAP S4HANA
  • MSc Thesis/Project


ENTRY REQUIREMENT

  • Minimum Second-Class Honors Undergraduate Degree from a recognized University, GPA not less than 2.50 or alternative qualifications acceptable to theUniversity of Mauritius and Accenture in following field of study (Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics only)
  • Successfully complete the selection process by Accenture which include and not limited to one full day of games, evaluations and group works

MSc Applied Functional Analysis

COURSE DESCRIPTION

MSc Applied Functional Analysis is a conversion program tailor-made for graduates with an Undergraduate degree in any discipline who wants to become a Business Analyst and/or ERP Functional Consultants within ICT sector. Courses in the first semester are designed to provide an introductory to computing and methodologies and specializes in streams offered depending on the specific requirements at a given time. The program is run in Full Time mode to cover 11 taught mandatory courses plus a project over 3 semesters, resulting in 12-months intensive learning.
