Making work, work for women

The pandemic has had a disproportionate impact on working women. It’s estimated that 5.3 million women in the United States alone lost their jobs, according to the National Women’s Law Center.

We can accelerate progress to get people back to work and to create cultures where everyone can thrive. It’s not just the responsible thing to do; it’s the smart thing to do. Based on Pipeline research, companies experience a 1- 2 % increase in revenue for every 10% increase in intersectional gender equity.

Corporate leaders are no longer just accountable to shareholders. They have new responsibilities to take care of people; ensure strong ethical and sustainability practices; and to build strong communities.

Our collaborators

FutureofU: Skills. Jobs. Growth. is a collaboration of businesses committed to accelerating a smooth transition for people back into the workforce.

Accelerate change

We need to get people back to work and ensure that companies can create environments where workers can thrive. Through this program, participants gain critical skills in areas of growth such as AI, cloud, and data science and get access to good jobs. Companies can fill open roles with skilled talent to unlock growth.

The program includes 4 key components.

One: Companies identify talent needs

Companies assess their workforce gaps and identify talent pools that match their top priority business needs.

Two: Candidates apply

Candidates who are ready to grow their skills, and to find a new role, enroll in the FutureofU program. Candidates choose roles based on an area of interest and for which they meet the basic qualifications. Candidates enrolled in the program are matched and may apply to prospective employer’s role(s).

Three: Participants start upskilling

Next, selected participants begin upskilling. FutureofU participants receive pay and benefits while enrolled full-time in the program. Coaching and support are provided to help prepare participants to perform and grow in a new, future-ready role.

Four: Participants transition to their new role

Upon successful completion, FutureofU participants begin their new role full-time. Companies benefit from new sources of talent to unlock growth and foster environments where all employees can thrive.

In just one click, your FutureofU journey begins

We know that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a massive impact on gender equality.  It has resulted in less income and less work for women so we're helping all workers learn new skills and get back to the workforce. This video welcomes candidates to the next step in their career journey and explains the process.

Companies have an opportunity to assess their workforce gaps because we know that thriving companies reskill at almost twice the rate (1.7x) of pre-COVID peers. However, with role demand outpacing talent supply, access to new talent pools is key.
