Kathy Conrad is director of Digital Government at Accenture Federal Services. She leads digital government strategy and growth for Accenture Federal Services, focusing on how Accenture can deliver digital services and emerging technologies that transform government to be more customer-centric, data-driven, and efficient. A trusted executive with more than thirty years of public and private sector experience, Conrad is a proven leader, problem solver and strategist skilled at tackling high-impact, complex challenges. She is an innovation catalyst and coalition builder, with keen insight and a deep knowledge of government technology and digital service programs and policies.
Conrad has led high-profile, high-impact programs accelerating government-wide adoption of innovative technologies to improve delivery of digital services and enable transformation to citizen centered digital government. She played a key role in developing primary initiatives to achieve objectives of the 2012 White House Digital Strategy, and has been responsible for major government-wide initiatives, including the Federal Risk Authorization and Management Program (FedRAMP), data.gov, the Digital Analytics Program, and other innovative solutions including Challenge.gov. She also played a central role in creating GSA18F and the Presidential Innovation Fellows (PIF) Program.
She provides specialized expertise in digital government, including customer experience, digital services, and service design innovation. She advises on digital transformation and customer engagement, acquisition reform, collaboration between government and industry, and on managing complex policy issues and political dynamics.
Conrad previously served as Vice Chair at Large for the American Council on Technology-Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) Executive Committee. She is a three-time winner of the prestigious Federal 100 award in 2011, 2013 and 2015.
She received her B.A. in Biology/Psychology from Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She served on the Board of Trustees for the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria for nearly a decade. Conrad lives in Alexandria, VA, and loves outdoor adventures including exploring beautiful places and different cultures with her husband and two grown daughters.
