Workday Program Senior Manager

My main role is to manage the successful implementation of our Cloud based HR Solution, Workday, for our customers. Our main customer has many implementations happening at one time all around the world, this may be rolling out to a new company or rolling out an enhancement, so I work together with the customer counterpart to make sure all the projects are delivering on their original goal.
There are two projects that I remember for their excitement. One was the first deployment in Japan for our first customer. As we were just starting out the practice, we had resources relocate to Japan from all over the world and we had the opportunity to get to know each other while working on a first of its kind project. The second was a deployment for a mid-sized apparel company, it was exciting because the culture and mindset was so different from the mega sized client I was working with. I was able to learn a lot from the way they run their business and the way they enjoyed every day at work!
In my role, I need to communicate globally, so my morning normally starts with preparing my material and then running a call with the client team in the US. From this session there will be actions for our team, so I will spend the rest of the morning communicating across our teams globally making sure they understand any new requests or important information for current activities.
My early afternoons often involve discussing topics with the team in the office including brainstorming approaches to an issue or working on an identified focus area together. Then the late afternoon is focused on preparing materials and running meetings with the client team in India or Europe to close out my day.
I normally have a full day of activities, but I honestly enjoy the feeling of seeing the next session lined up in my calendar and preparing for the challenge it will bring! I take pride in my role, to keep everyone aligned, so we can give the client the best possible solution for their business. I also enjoy talking to people of all different backgrounds as there is always an opportunity to learn something new.
