Summary:
As a Data Governance Practitioner, a typical day involves establishing and enforcing data governance policies that uphold the accuracy, integrity, and security of organizational data. This role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to define and maintain data standards. The practitioner facilitates effective processes for data collection, storage, access, and usage, while actively driving initiatives that promote data stewardship. Through these efforts, the role ensures comprehensive and effective governance of data assets across the organization, supporting informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to continuously improve data governance frameworks and practices.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their understanding and execution of data governance principles.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to align data governance with organizational goals.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI).
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Experience in defining and implementing data standards and policies.
- Ability to work with data management tools and platforms to ensure data quality and security.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different teams.
- Capability to analyze complex data environments and recommend governance improvements.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI).
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
