Operations professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology. They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process outsourcing services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Outsourcing professionals may be based at a client’s office or in one of Accenture’s 50 delivery centers around the world.
The Desktop Support Technician will work from our Accenture client location and interact with customer on a daily basis serving as subject matter expert for general desktop support. This role will require some on-call time on a rotational basis for critical issues. Other responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on Windows and Mac OS X to onsite and remote-based users
  • Accurately record and update tickets via ServiceNow ticketing system
  • Explain and document technical issues in a clear way to end users
  • Analyze and troubleshoot computer hardware and software problems
  • Make smart decisions to ensure minimal user down time
  • Follows all defined IT standards and procedures
  • Setup and delivery of computer equipment to end users
  • Be on-call on a rotational basis for critical issues
  • Work on ongoing and new projects throughout the project life cycle
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in information technology
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is desired
  • Proven experience with Office365, iPhone and iPad device management, wireless technologies, Skype video conference room
  • Must have people skills and a positive customer service attitude
  • Must be able to maintain professional demeanor under stress
  • Answer client inquiries regarding IT process
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with other team members
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to communicate status and escalate issues to leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Mac operating systems and their associated applications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work with minimum supervision
  • Previous Experience within a customer service role
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of people
