The client needed assistance in formalising plans to launch a fixed-line Internet Protocol TV (IPTV), Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Broadband (triple play) business. This undertaking would have been one of the first and largest implementations of the maximum service television (MSTV) product in the world, with local factors, such as 20 different languages and 27,000 local franchises.
Accenture worked with the client for a 10-week period to define the blueprint and implementation plan to build this business, and assembled a senior and diverse team of nearly 30 people from nine different Accenture locations across the world.
The main responsibilities for this project were:
Product definition for the triple-play service
BSS/OSS architecture for triple play (functional, technical, integration)
Process architecture (Level 3 processes and key performance indicators for the entire business)
IPTV service platform architecture and the implementation plan
Comprehensive product and service definition document with go-to-market customer offerings
Establishment of cross-enterprise business processes
IT blueprint to operate and support the commercial launch for the triple-play services
