Meet Sridevi Krish, a global transition manager and an inspirational leader

How long have you been with Accenture?

It has been close to three years.

Tell us about your role and what a typical day looks like for you?

As the Mobilization and Global Transition lead, my day starts and ends with client meetings as the role demands end-to-end project and transformation management.

Best thing about your current role?

Exposure to diverse client base and the feeling of being empowered to lead from the front.

What’s the most exciting project you’ve worked on and what made it so exciting?

I was a Global Transition lead for an HRO and F&A transformation. Apart from work complexity, the role offered an opportunity to work with the US, Canada, UK and ANZ business partners. I would reckon it as one of the best learning opportunities.

What made you choose this profession?

As a literature and management student, I was on the lookout for an opportunity to harness my language and business skills. Transition management offered that along with other perks such as travel, an adrenaline rush while working against stringent deadlines and being in the forefront of prestigious projects.

How does Accenture groom you to become a leader?

Continuous learning and grooming of each employee is deeply rooted in Accenture’s culture. We all are encouraged to have an “innovation-led” mindset and follow our vision in everything we do, helping us take charge of our career paths.

What advice would you give to a woman considering a career in the industry? What do you wish you had known?

Managing a child, career and home are possible for all of us. One needs to understand the priorities and articulate them to the supervisor. Being a mother has never stopped me from following my career aspirations.

From your own experience, have you seen an improvement in diversity at Accenture?

Definitely! Accenture embraces inclusion and diversity in the widest possible sense. There are also new inclusion and diversity goals, where the company is striving to achieve a gender-balanced workforce by 2025.

How do you balance your work and personal life?

Accenture offers several avenues to its people to pursue their aspirations and maintain a work-life balance.
