How long have you been with Accenture?
I have completed eight years with the Company, and it has been a great journey.
Can you share a little bit about what it is that you do and what a typical day for you is like?
My day starts and ends with travel with a bunch of client meetings or internal discussions in between. Ends with an often-broken promise of working out tomorrow and cutting down on junk food.
What is it that you enjoy most about your current job?
I like understanding and solving problems for businesses by creating unique, and often disruptive solutions. Working with a set of highly capable individuals keeps me motivated and energetic. I also like meeting new people, exploring new cultures and places.
How did you decide to join this profession?
I always wanted to work across industries and create tangible business impact through my work. The opportunity to travel and meet a variety of people has always excited me.
How does Accenture groom you into becoming a leader?
Accenture provides ample opportunities—both internally and externally—to hone your existing skills, learn new skills and gain experience. The leadership takes personal interest and provides the right mentorship to ensure an individual’s growth and progression.
In terms of upskilling, how do you think Accenture is placed to meet future industry demands?
Accenture is operating at the intersection of business and technology—extremely unique positioning. Moreover, the organization is focused on digital reskilling across career levels and creating a strategic bend of mind among its people.
How do you balance work and your personal life?
I prioritize and block time for my fitness—running and doing other training activities. I spend the weekend with my family.
A gadget you can’t live without
I am not much into gadgets, but I can’t imagine a day without my watch.
How do you recharge?
I listen to music—rock, Bollywood, play a guitar, go running.
New music band/book/sport which has caught your attention
I have always been fascinated by boxing, especially heavyweight boxing.
An advice that sticks with you?
“Seek advice, consult the right people, then do what you’d do”
Book/movies that has the power to inspire
I like movies on sports persons rising above the odds. My favorites are Rocky, Cinderella Man and Schindler’s List.
