"I love the fact that TAP has many rotations, which really helps you experience Accenture from different perspectives."
How I put change in motion
As an HR Business Partner Associate Manager, I am part of the global Accenture “HR for HR” team. We partner with the broader, global Accenture HR community on a variety of strategic initiatives. I am also the global program manager for the HR Talent Accelerator Program (TAP), making the full circle from being a participant in the program to helping shape it for future cohorts.
I specialized in HR while pursing my MBA at Xavier Labour Relations Institute in Jamshedpur, India, and I was thrilled when I landed an offer to join Accenture as part of TAP. I love the fact that the program has many rotations, which really helps you experience Accenture from different perspectives.
One of the most exciting and challenging HR rotations had me deploy and manage the performance achievement process for more than 60,000 employees for Operations in India. As someone fairly new to the organization, this was an incredible opportunity to program manage at such a massive scale.
I also worked with the talent strategy team for the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Market Unit during my international rotation. It was an amazing experience to witness firsthand the meaning of “One Accenture” in another country and culture.
Being coached by senior mentors in TAP was invaluable. And now, as an alumnus and also the global program manager, I get to oversee this amazing program as the global TAP family grows and as new team members join us each year.
A day in my life
A typical day for me involves working with global stakeholders from different time zones. I usually reserve the earlier part of my day for deep work that requires focused thinking, and then I connect with team members to discuss next steps on the many things we’re involved in. Frankly, no two days are exactly the same, and the fast-paced environment keeps things exciting.
In my time away from work, I love to travel whenever I can, especially to other countries, seeing other cultures. I’m also into fitness, and I especially enjoy barre and yoga exercises.
“Having been coached by senior mentors in TAP has been absolutely invaluable.”
