The Practice – A Brief Sketch
Transportation and Logistics team within S&C GN Industrial Practice brings extensive expertise in driving operational efficiency and digital transformation across our clients. we specialize in digital transformations, end-to-end supply chain optimization, freight and fleet management, route planning and optimization, last-mile delivery solutions, warehouse and inventory management, process automation and digitization, sustainability initiatives, cold chain logistics, advanced analytics and data-driven insights, IoT and asset tracking solutions, and industry benchmarking and best practices.
Our approach leverages advanced technology to optimize transportation and logistics operations, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction, positioning our clients at the forefront of the logistics and transportation industry.
Transportation and Logistics team within S&C GN Industrial Practice brings extensive expertise in driving operational efficiency and digital transformation across our clients. We specialize in:
- Railway enterprise systems and asset lifecycle management
- Digital transformations and new-age technologies (IoT, AI/ML, automation, predictive maintenance)
- Integrated operations optimization for rolling stock, signalling, track, and station assets
- Smart infrastructure and reliability-centred maintenance solutions
- Sustainability initiatives and advanced analytics

Skills in one or more of the following areas:
- Knowledge in E2E railway operations (including transportation, scheduling, route optimisation, asset lifecycle management, maintenance planning)
- Strong understanding of work management, materials management, and asset performance processes.
- Familiarity with digital technologies (IoT, predictive maintenance, AI/ML, digital twins).
- Techno-functional knowledge of enterprise systems in railways such as SAP.
- Skills in program/project management for E2E implementation & rollouts.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

- Strategic Project Management: Ability to manage project scope, budget, and delivery, focusing on operational efficiency and cost control.
- Communication and Presentation - Plan and deliver well-structured oral and written communications
- Structured Problem Solving - Help identify and structure key client challenges into hypotheses and conduct analyses to address the challenges
- Stakeholder Management - Manage mid-level to senior client leadership and lead conversations
- Team management skills with an ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Program management skill with an ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and drive successful delivery within scope and budget
- Cross-cultural competence with an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

Your experience counts!
- MBA from Tier 1/Tier 2 institute preferred; equivalent industry experience also considered.
- 6–10 years of experience in railway asset management, enterprise systems, or consulting.
- Proven experience in business/technology consulting for railways, focusing on asset lifecycle optimization, maintenance strategies, and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Projects.
- Exposure to design thinking, value architecting, and business case preparation.
- Experience in team management, coaching, and professional development of junior team members.
