As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with team members to apply modern development frameworks and agile methodologies, ensuring that the solutions are scalable and perform efficiently. The engineer focuses on meeting specific business requirements by continuously refining and enhancing software elements to support evolving organizational needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
-Create, enhance, and maintain dashboards in Grafana based on existing AppDynamics monitoring setups.
-Integrate data sources (APM, logs, infrastructure metrics) into Grafana.
-Build alerting rules, thresholds, and visualizations aligned to business SLAs.
-Collaborate with application, DevOps, and SRE teams to define monitoring requirements.
-Optimize dashboard performance and ensure usability for technical and business stakeholders.
-Strong hands-on experience with Grafana monitoring stack.
-Familiarity with AppDynamics and ability to interpret existing dashboards.
-Good understanding of application performance monitoring and incident management.
-Experience with microservices, APIs, and cloud environments is a plus.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Grafana.
- Experience in creating and managing dashboards and visualizations to monitor system performance and metrics.
- Ability to integrate Grafana with various data sources and customize plugins to meet specific monitoring needs.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation to enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities.
- Capability to troubleshoot and optimize performance issues within monitoring tools and software components.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Grafana.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
