Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, we are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in US Retirement Services to support business and technology initiatives across retirement platforms. The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams, ensuring accurate translation of complex retirement business requirements into scalable system solutions. Experience in Scrum is a must.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Interface with onshore/offshore stakeholders effectively in a global delivery model.
- Support AMS activities such as incident analysis, change requests, minor enhancements, and root-cause analysis.
- Ensure traceability of requirements through design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, KT, and documentation best practices.
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and resolve technical challenges that impact project delivery and quality.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows, and Data Mapping documents.
- Work closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements and support solution design.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews).
- Support SIT and UAT phases by preparing test scenarios, validating results, and managing defects.
- Assist with data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting as required.
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Business Requirements Analysis.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Experience with requirement gathering techniques including interviews, workshops, and document analysis.
- Ability to work closely with stakeholders to clarify and validate requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle processes and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration between technical teams and business users.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Business Requirements Analysis.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
