Summary:
In the role of Packaged or Software as a Service Application Engineering Lead, a typical day involves taking ownership of the design and continuous improvement of packaged or cloud-based solutions. This includes managing the configuration settings, coordinating system integrations, and overseeing the release cycles to ensure smooth deployment. The role requires setting and maintaining platform standards that guarantee system stability and optimal performance while balancing business requirements and vendor limitations. Collaboration with various stakeholders to align technical solutions with organizational goals is a key aspect of daily activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Demonstrable experience delivering MDM solutions across at least two of the following domains: customer, supplier, asset, product, location, or reference data.
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and master data management principles.
Experience designing match and merge rules, survivorship logic, and deduplication strategies within an MDM platform.
Proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and validation within the Semarchy database layer.
Experience integrating Semarchy with enterprise source systems via REST APIs, SQL connectors, or data integration pipelines.
Familiarity with data lineage concepts and regulatory compliance requirements (GDPR, POPIA, or equivalent).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business rules into platform configuration.
Analytical Thinking — ability to decompose complex data problems and translate business rules into precise platform configurations.
Stakeholder Communication — able to explain technical data governance concepts clearly to non-technical business audiences.
Ownership & Accountability — takes responsibility for the quality and reliability of platform deliverables end-to-end.
Collaboration — works effectively across business, IT, and external vendor teams in a matrix environment.
Continuous Improvement — proactively identifies opportunities to improve data quality, governance processes, and platform configurations.
Attention to Detail — rigorous in data rule authoring, testing, and documentation to ensure accuracy and traceability.
Adaptability — comfortable working in a fast-changing data environment with evolving requirements and new data domains.

Additional Information:
The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Semarchy
This position is based at our Pune office.
A 15 years full time education is required.
