Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of the project lifecycle, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that the applications meet the required specifications. The position demands proactive communication and collaboration across teams to drive the project forward while addressing challenges and aligning deliverables with organizational goals. The engineer acts as the central figure in managing the technical aspects and facilitating smooth progress throughout the development process.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices and ensure adherence to quality standards within the team.
- Mentor junior team members to foster professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to align project objectives and deliverables with business requirements.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Data Governance.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform, Microsoft Azure Analytics Services, Data Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of data management principles and frameworks to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Ability to develop and enforce policies related to data security, privacy, and lifecycle management.
- Experience in collaborating with data architects, engineers, and analysts to implement governance strategies.
- Familiarity with tools and technologies that support data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage tracking.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Data Governance.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
