Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance in a dynamic environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to improve system processes and workflows to enhance overall efficiency.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of support activities with business objectives.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM AS /400 Administration.
- Strong knowledge of system monitoring and troubleshooting techniques specific to IBM AS /400 environments.
- Experience in managing and maintaining critical business applications to ensure high availability and performance.
- Ability to analyze complex system logs and identify root causes of issues effectively.
- Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures within IBM AS /400 systems.
- Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and improvements.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in IBM AS /400 Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
