As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the design, development, and automation of solutions tailored to support specific business processes and application requirements. Your day-to-day activities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, developing PowerShell-based automation and integration solutions, and ensuring applications and scripts are optimized for performance, reliability, and usability.
You will actively participate in testing and debugging activities, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve automation, integration efficiency, and operational stability.
Roles & Responsibilities
Perform independently and progressively establish yourself as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in PowerShell scripting and automation
Actively participate and contribute in team discussions, design reviews, and technical forums
Design, develop, and maintain PowerShell scripts and modules for automation, integration, and operational support
Contribute to solutioning and problem-solving for work-related technical challenges
Support system and application integrations using APIs, services, and file-based interfaces
Assist in the documentation of scripts, application processes, workflows, and runbooks
Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices
Support DevOps pipelines by integrating scripts into build, deployment, and release processes
Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure high-quality and stable deliverables
Professional & Technical Skills
Must Have Skills
Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting (automation, functions, modules, error handling)
Hands-on experience in scripting for system administration, automation, or integrations
Good to Have Skills
Experience with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation workflows)
Exposure to integration technologies (REST APIs, JSON/XML, service-based integrations)
Experience with ServiceNow (automation, integrations, or operational support)
Additional Technical Skills
Strong understanding of application development and automation methodologies
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
Experience in troubleshooting and debugging scripts and applications
Understanding of deployment, monitoring, and operational support concepts
Additional Information
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in PowerShell scripting
This position is based at our Pune office
A 15 years of full-time education is mandatory
