Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively monitoring and investigating issues across various critical business systems. This role requires dynamic problem-solving to identify root causes and implement effective solutions, ensuring the stability and reliability of essential applications. The position demands continuous engagement with multiple system components to maintain seamless operations and support business continuity in a fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to improve system reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and incident management.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to enhance overall technical capabilities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on system updates and issue resolution strategies.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering.
- Strong understanding of system monitoring tools and incident response methodologies.
- Experience with automation and scripting to streamline operational tasks and improve system reliability.
- Ability to analyze complex system interactions and troubleshoot multi-component environments.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment practices to support scalable applications.
- Skilled in performance tuning and capacity planning to maintain optimal system health.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
