Infra Tech Support Practitioner
Project Role Description : Provide L1–L2 technical support for infrastructure, systems, and applications in production and development environments, both remotely and onsite, following defined operating models and processes. Act as the primary interface with users/clients to accurately diagnose issues and deliver effective resolutions across infrastructure, operating systems, networks, and application platforms, ensuring service stability and quality support.

Summary:
As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, you will engage in the ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products. Your typical day will involve providing both remote and onsite support for configured backup services across on-premises and cloud platforms. You will work within a defined operating model and processes, ensuring that backup infrastructure and associated systems function optimally. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting backup failures, managing restore operations, ensuring compliance with backup policies, and collaborating with team members to enhance system performance, reliability, and data protection effectiveness.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Expected to be an SME in enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
Collaborate with and manage the team to perform backup operations effectively.
Responsible for team decisions related to backup configuration, capacity planning, and compliance.
Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions impacting server and database backup strategies.
Provide solutions to backup-related problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.
Monitor backup system performance and implement improvements as necessary.
Manage server and database backups across on-premises and cloud environments.
Ensure Capacity, Configuration, and Compliance (Power C) governance across backup platforms.
Perform monitoring and troubleshooting of backup failures.
Responsible for full and partial backup execution and validation.
Conduct compliance testing of backups to ensure recoverability.
Execute restore operations for servers, databases, and applications.
Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) testing activities.
Support recovery operations within isolated AWS-based recovery environments.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Veritas NetBackup Administration.
3–5 years of experience with NetBackup, Azure, and AWS.
Strong understanding of server and database backup and recovery processes.
Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
Familiarity with server and network management.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
Additional Information:
The candidate should have minimum 4 years of experience in Veritas NetBackup Administration.
This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
A 15 years full time education is required.
