Summary: As a Data Architect, you will define the data requirements and structure for the application. Your typical day will involve modeling and designing the application data structure, storage, and integration, ensuring that the architecture aligns with business needs and technical specifications. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure the data architecture supports the overall goals of the organization, while also addressing any challenges that arise in the data management process. Key Responsibilities 1. Network Design & Architecture • Lead the end-to-end design of 5G and LTE RAN topologies, ensuring optimal coverage, capacity, and performance. • Develop network architecture blueprints, including access, transport, and backhaul domains. • Design Cloud-RAN, O-RAN, and vRAN architectures aligned with scalability and cost-efficiency targets. • Perform dimensioning, frequency, and capacity planning to support national rollout and modernization programs. • Ensure alignment of design principles across radio, transmission, and core domains. 2. Network Inventory & Data Modelling • Design and maintain logical and physical network inventory models across RAN and transport layers. • Define data structures, attributes, and relationships for network entities (sites, nodes, cells, transmission links, etc.). • Collaborate with OSS/BSS, planning, and GIS teams to align design data with inventory and topology management systems. • Ensure data integrity, lineage, and synchronization between inventory tools and live networks. • Contribute to the development of digital twin or network digital representation frameworks for predictive analytics. • Work with inventory tools such as Cramer, Granite, NetAct Planner, Infovista, or Atoll for design and modeling integration. 3. Design Automation & Transformation • Support the automation of design workflows, integrating inventory models with planning and provisioning systems. • Collaborate with IT and data teams to develop APIs and data pipelines for network inventory updates. • Contribute to network transformation programs involving SDN/NFV, network slicing, and cloud-native architectures. • Evaluate emerging standards and technologies related to TM Forum SID, Open Digital Architecture (ODA), and Intent-Based Networking. 4. Governance & Technical Leadership • Act as the technical design authority for mobile access and network inventory design. • Review and validate partner/vendor network designs for compliance with architecture standards. • Develop design guidelines, playbooks, and templates for consistent delivery across projects. • Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement within the network design practice. Required Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering. • 15+ years of hands-on experience in mobile network design and planning. • Proven expertise in: • 5G NR and LTE RAN design principles • Network topology and architecture design (macro, small cell, in-building) • Telecom inventory systems and data modelling • Transmission and backhaul planning (IP/MPLS, microwave, fibre) • Vendor tools (Atoll, Aircom, Planet, NetAct, Ericsson ENM, Huawei U2020) • Deep understanding of O-RAN, vRAN, and cloud-native RAN concepts. • Experience with inventory and topology tools (Cramer, Granite, Crossworks, or similar). • Familiarity with TM Forum data models (SID/TAM) and OSS integration architectures. • Strong analytical and documentation skills using Visio, Power BI, and Excel. Preferred Skills • Knowledge of automation and scripting languages (Python, SQL, Ansible) for data validation or design automation. • Experience integrating inventory systems with network orchestration or provisioning tools. • Exposure to data-driven design approaches, digital twins, or network analytics. • Certification in 5G, RAN Design, or TM Forum Frameworks. • Understanding of ETOM and ODA architecture principles Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Data Architecture Principles. - This position is based at our Pune office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
