Summary We are seeking a skilled Configuration & Asset Manager (8–12 years) to lead CMDB governance, configuration accuracy, and asset lifecycle management across enterprise environments. The role ensures adherence to Aon standards, drives CMDB maturity, enforces process compliance, and delivers audit-ready, high-quality data through automation and continual improvement initiatives. Location: Bengaluru / Gurugram Experience: 8–12 years Employment Type: Full-time Department: Service Assurance / IT Asset & Configuration Management Reporting Structure: Reports to Head of Service Assurance / ITSM Governance Lead ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Configuration Management (CMDB Governance & Maturity) • Own CMDB governance, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with Aon and ITIL standards. • Define and execute a CMDB Maturity Roadmap focusing on process consistency, automation, and data integrity. • Maintain and audit configuration data weekly; validate discovery completeness and CI relationships. • Create and maintain dynamic service and infrastructure models using Aon discovery tools. • Establish configuration baselines and authorization controls for CI changes. • Conduct impact analysis for infrastructure and application changes. • Integrate CMDB with Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset processes for end-to-end data consistency. Asset Management (Lifecycle, Inventory & Compliance) • Manage end-to-end asset lifecycle — from requisition, procurement, installation, maintenance, and recovery to disposal. • Maintain accurate asset inventory and update in-scope records in ServiceNow and Service Catalog. • Implement automated asset approval workflows and forecasting for refresh and recovery planning. • Support Aon audit compliance and ensure traceable, policy-aligned asset and configuration records. • Provide reporting on asset utilization, capital efficiency, and non-compliant configurations. Governance, Reporting & Automation • Deliver dashboards and automated reports in ServiceNow and Power BI for CMDB health, asset metrics, and compliance. • Identify and implement automation opportunities for reconciliation, updates, and reporting. • Track and remediate exceptions, ensuring conformance with Aon-approved configuration standards. • Partner with Service Assurance, Security, and Change teams to strengthen governance and audit readiness. ________________________________________ Professional and Technical Skills • Expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, ITAM, and Discovery modules. • Strong understanding of ITIL v4 practices for Configuration and Asset Management. • Experience with SCCM, Intune, Flexera, or equivalent discovery/inventory tools. • Proficient in Power BI / Excel for dashboards and audit analytics. • Knowledge of cloud and hybrid asset tracking (Azure, AWS, VMware). • Certifications: ITIL® v4 Foundation (Mandatory); ServiceNow CMDB/ITAM Certification (Preferred). ________________________________________ Additional Information • Experience in enterprise-scale CMDB and asset governance programs. • Proven ability to drive CMDB maturity, automation, and audit compliance. • Focus on data accuracy, governance, and operational efficiency through automation and CSI initiatives.
