Project Role Description : Resolve incidents and problems across multiple business system components and ensure operational stability. Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC) and update knowledge base articles to support effective troubleshooting. Collaborate with vendors and help service management teams with issue analysis and resolution.

Summary: We are looking for an experienced SD-WAN Engineer with strong expertise in VMware VeloCloud to design, deploy, and manage enterprise SD-WAN infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep networking knowledge, practical experience with WAN optimization and routing protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot complex WAN and overlay networks in large-scale environments. Roles & Responsibilities: • Design, deploy, and configure VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN solutions (Orchestrator, Edge, and Gateway). • Plan and implement overlay networks, edge connectivity, and dynamic path selection across branch and data center sites. • Configure business policies, QoS, traffic shaping, and failover for optimal application performance. • Integrate SD-WAN with existing MPLS, broadband, underlay networks. • Perform zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) for new sites and manage template-based configurations. • Collaborate with architecture teams to define network design standards, topology, and security requirements. • Provide Level 2/3 support for SD-WAN incidents and service requests. • Monitor and maintain the SD-WAN infrastructure through VMware Velocloud Orchestrator and analytics dashboards. • Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and performance issues across SD-WAN edges and tunnels. • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for chronic network issues and propose preventive measures. • Manage firmware upgrades, security patches, and configuration backups for SD-WAN devices. Professional and Technical Skills- • 3–8 years of experience in enterprise or service provider networking. • 2+ years of hands-on experience with VMware SD-WAN (Velocloud) — Orchestrator, Edge, and Gateway configuration. • Solid understanding of: o Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, static routing. o WAN technologies: MPLS, broadband, LTE, VPNs. o Network concepts: QoS, load balancing, failover, NAT, IPsec. • Hands-on experience with VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN deployment and management. • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs. • Experience with SD-WAN overlay/underlay networks, traffic steering, QoS, and WAN optimization. • Knowledge of network security and secure branch-to-cloud connectivity. • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance analytics. • Experience in troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues in SD-WAN environments. • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with multiple stakeholders. Preferred Certifications: • VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud Professional / Advanced Certification • VMware Certified Professional – Network Virtualization (VCP-NV) (optional) • Relevant networking certifications: CCNP, CCIE oud integration
