, Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines and integrations within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL/Synapse, as well as a solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and DevOps practices. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Design, build, and manage Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines. • Manage Azure Data Services including Data Lake Gen2, SQL Database, Synapse, and Blob Storage. • Implement ETL/ELT processes, transformations, and data validation. • Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and warehousing solutions. • Apply DevOps practices including Git, CI/CD, ARM templates, and pipeline deployments. • Build dashboards and reports using Power BI or other visualization tools. • Monitor, log, and alert for data pipeline performance and failures. • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with best practices. Professional & Technical Skills: • Must-Have - Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF): pipelines, triggers, datasets, linked services, parameterization. • Must-Have - Strong understanding of Azure Data Services: Data Lake Gen2, Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, Azure Blob Storage, Key Vault. • Must-Have - ETL/ELT development: transformations, incremental loads, upserts, slowly changing dimensions (SCDs). • Must-Have - Strong SQL & data modeling skills (T-SQL, star/snowflake schema, fact/dimension tables, indexing, performance tuning). • Must-Have - DevOps & version control: Git, CI/CD pipelines, ARM templates, Azure DevOps. • Must-Have - Python or PySpark for data transformation and validation. • Must-Have - Experience in monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. • Must-Have - Knowledge of data governance & security: RBAC, row-level security, data masking. • Good-to-Have -Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics: dedicated/serverless pools, integration with ADF, query optimization. • Good-to-Have -Exposure to Azure Databricks: Apache Spark, Databricks Notebooks, PySpark transformations. • Good-to-Have -Power BI or other reporting tools: dashboards, dataflows, datasets, DAX. • Good-to-Have -Familiarity with Microsoft Purview for data cataloging and lineage. • Good-to-Have -Advanced data pipeline logging and traceability practices. • Good-to-Have -Experience with SaaS and API data ingestion for ETL processes. ________________________________________ Additional Information: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. • 4–8 years of hands-on experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Azure services. • This position is based at Pune client office.
