Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer with strong expertise in Apache JMeter and performance testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, execute, and analyze performance tests across web applications, APIs, and databases, ensuring systems meet defined performance benchmarks and SLAs. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement performance test plans using JMeter for web applications, APIs, and databases. • Handle scripting, parameterization, and test data management. • Execute tests in local and distributed modes, analyze results, and identify performance bottlenecks. • Prepare detailed performance reports and communicate findings to stakeholders. • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize system performance. ________________________________________ Professional & Technical Skills: • Must-Have - Apache JMeter Core Expertise: Building test plans for HTTP/HTTPS web apps, REST/SOAP APIs, JDBC database tests. • Must-Have -Hands-on experience with JMeter components: Thread Groups, Samplers, Listeners, Assertions, Timers, Controllers (Loop, If, While). • Must-Have -Parameterization & dynamic data handling: CSV Data Set Config, variables, functions. • Must-Have -Understanding of performance testing concepts: load, stress, soak, and spike testing. • Must-Have -Ability to measure and interpret key metrics: response time, throughput, latency, error rate, hits/sec, TPS. • Must-Have -Scripting & test data management: Regular Expressions, JSON Extractors, BeanShell/JSR223/Groovy scripting. • Must-Have -Execution & result analysis: running tests locally/distributed, analyzing Summary Report, Aggregate Report, Response Times Over Time. • Must-Have -Reporting & stakeholder communication: documenting results, comparing baselines, and providing actionable insights. • Good-to-Have -CI/CD integration: Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps; headless/command-line JMeter execution. • Good-to-Have -Monitoring & observability: server metrics (CPU, memory, disk I/O, DB), tools like Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic. • Good-to-Have -JMeter Backend Listener with InfluxDB + Grafana for real-time dashboards. • Good-to-Have -Familiarity with automated performance validation in CI/CD pipelines. ________________________________________ Additional Information: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 4–8 years of hands-on experience in performance testing using Apache JMeter. • Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, metrics, and analysis. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools is a plus. • This position is based at Pune client office.
