We are looking for skilled for Essbase Engineers to provide support for our company planning and FP&A functions with a strong focus on operational support, process documentation, and maintaining clear architectural and data flow diagrams. The team will ensure smooth functioning of financial models, accurate data flow, and clear visibility into all systems and processes. Key Responsibilities (All Roles): • Provide day-to-day operational support for Essbase applications, including issue resolution and user queries • Build and maintain Essbase ASO/BSO cubes for planning, budgeting, and forecasting • Collaborate with FP&A teams to gather requirements and enhance reporting models • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation • Create and update architecture and data flow diagrams for planning systems and integrations • Manage calc scripts, load rules, metadata, and user access controls • Perform regular data validations and ensure data accuracy across environments • Work with IT and Finance to support integrations with ERP/data warehouse systems Lead Engineer Additional Responsibilities: • Act as technical lead and subject matter expert (SME) for Essbase and planning tools • Define and enforce documentation standards and operational best practices • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production issues • Own and maintain system architecture and data lineage documentation • Review deliverables from team members and guide them on performance tuning and model design • Coordinate with Finance and IT stakeholders to align roadmaps and priorities Required Skills & Experience: • Strong hands-on experience in Essbase cube development (ASO/BSO) and support • Proficiency in calc scripts, load rules, MaxL, and MDX • Solid understanding of financial planning and forecasting cycles • Experience in writing technical documentation, SOPs, and diagramming tools (e.g., Visio) • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to support both production environments and enhancement projects • Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred (Nice to Have): • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., shell, Python) • Experience in Agile project environments • Knowledge of reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau
