Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to troubleshoot problems, analyzing system performance, and ensuring the smooth operation of applications that are vital to business functions. You will engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely solutions, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: -Platform Services Management - Deploy, configure, and maintain PaaS environments such as: -Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) -AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, ECS, EKS -GCP App Engine, Cloud Run, GKE -Manage scalability, load balancing, and availability of platform-hosted applications -Support developers in deploying and running cloud-native applications. - Automation & CI/CD Integration -Automate PaaS provisioning and deployment using Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation. -Work with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) to enable automated testing and deployment. -Implement infrastructure as code and configuration management practices. -Security & Governance -Enforce security controls and compliance policies in PaaS environments. -Manage identity and access (IAM, RBAC), secure connections, service principals, and managed identities. -Apply policies for app sandboxing, secret management (e.g., Key Vault, Secrets Manager), and secure endpoints. - Monitoring & Optimization -Monitor application and platform performance using native tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Stackdriver). -Troubleshoot issues related to platform services, application logs, and integrations. -Implement autoscaling, performance tuning, and cost optimization strategies. -Documentation & Collaboration -Create and maintain runbooks, knowledge base articles, and system diagrams. -Collaborate with developers, DevOps, cloud architects, and security teams to align platform use with business needs. -Provide support for PaaS lifecycle management and platform upgrades. Professional & Technical Skills: - Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP - PaaS Services : Azure App Services, AWS Beanstalk, GCP App Engine, Serverless (e.g., Lambda, Functions). - Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE), OpenShift -IaC & Automation Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, Bicep - CI/CD Tools Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI. -Monitoring/Logging: Azure Monitor, App Insights, CloudWatch, ELK Stack -Security & IAM IAM, RBAC, Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, OAuth2 -Languages (optional): YAML, Bash, PowerShell, Python Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Azure PaaS. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
