Automation Test Engineer (Selenium, Java, API Automation)
Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in Selenium, Java, and API Automation to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks. The role involves close collaboration with development, DevOps, and business teams to ensure high-quality, reliable software delivery. Exposure to NFT or blockchain-based applications is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation & Quality Engineering
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium with Java
Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing
Implement API automation using tools like REST Assured / Postman / similar frameworks
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing
Test Planning & Execution
Analyze requirements, user stories, and use cases to define automation test scenarios
Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and execution reports
Identify, log, track, and validate defects using standard defect management tools
Ensure adherence to quality standards and best testing practices
Collaboration & Engineering Excellence
Work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to improve test coverage and quality
Participate in code reviews for automation scripts and frameworks
Proactively identify areas to improve test efficiency, stability, and execution time
Domain & Emerging Tech (Good to Have)
Contribute to testing of NFT / blockchain / Web3-based applications
Understand testing challenges related to smart contracts, digital assets, and distributed systems (if applicable)
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have
4 - 8 years of experience in Test Automation
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
Proficiency in Java for automation framework development
Solid experience in API Automation (REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols)
Experience with test automation frameworks (TestNG / JUnit / Maven / Gradle)
Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Good to Have
Exposure to NFT / Blockchain / Crypto / Web3 applications
Knowledge of smart contracts testing or blockchain platforms (Ethereum, Solana, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Ability to work independently and drive ownership end-to-end
Quality-first mindset with attention to detail
Education
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
