Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Senior Oracle DBA to oversee the administration, performance, and reliability of Oracle database systems across production and development environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database architecture, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and high availability solutions. This role is critical to ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance of business-critical systems. Key Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) in standalone and clustered environments. • Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patching. • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize resource usage. • Design and implement backup/recovery solutions using RMAN and Data Guard. • Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, and replication setups. • Ensure database security, user access controls, and compliance with audit requirements. • Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or PL/SQL. • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support deployments and troubleshoot issues. • Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery drills, and business continuity planning. • Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. • 8+ years of experience as a Core Oracle DBA. • Strong expertise in Oracle Database architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. • Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN. • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting. • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and diagnostics. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and mentor junior DBAs. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of database security best practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX). • Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments. • Understanding of ITIL processes and change management.
