Summary: As the Workday Talent & Performance Lead Architect you will be the strategic leader responsible for designing, building, and configuring the entire Talent Management and Performance Review ecosystem within Workday. A typical day involves collaborating with HR leadership, L&D, and business unit managers to translate complex talent strategies (e.g., succession, goal setting, appraisals) into optimal Workday configurations. You will ensure the Talent & Performance applications are optimized for performance, usability, and strategic alignment with organizational objectives. You will act as the top-tier Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing executive-level advisory skills, leading cross-functional problem-solving initiatives, and mentoring the team to continuously enhance the employee’s experience and system functionality. Roles & Responsibilities: • Expected to be an authoritative SME in Workday Talent & Performance, possessing deep knowledge of performance reviews, goal management, succession planning, and talent matrix configuration. • Should have strong influencing and advisory skills to guide senior stakeholders on best practices for designing and executing global talent and performance cycles within Workday. • Responsible for the architectural and configuration decisions for all Workday Talent & Performance processes, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals. • Engage with multiple teams (e.g., Core HCM, Compensation, Integrations) and contribute to key decisions that impact the flow and use of talent data across the enterprise. • Expected to provide scalable, enterprise-wide solutions to complex talent management challenges that apply across various business units and international teams. • Facilitate strategic workshops and requirement sessions with HR executives and business leaders to define the annual performance review process and talent calibration strategies. • Mentor junior professionals in Workday Talent & Performance configuration, system maintenance, and best-practice deployment. Professional & Technical Skills: • Must Have Skills: Expertise in Workday Talent (Succession, Career Hub, Skills Cloud) and Workday Performance Management (Goal Setting, Performance Reviews, Calibration). • Strong understanding of Workday Core HCM data model and how talent data integrates with Compensation and Learning modules. • Extensive experience with Workday integration tools and techniques used to transfer talent and performance data to third-party systems or analytics platforms. • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into robust technical configuration specifications and effective business processes within Workday. • Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools to ensure the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of talent and performance cycle configurations. Additional Information: • The candidate should have a minimum 15 years of experience in Workday HCM, with a dedicated focus on Talent and Performance implementation and architecture. • A 15 year full time education is required.
