, Summary: As an Application Developer, you will design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. A typical day involves collaborating with various teams to understand their needs, developing solutions, and ensuring that applications function seamlessly to support business operations. You will engage in problem-solving activities and contribute to the overall success of projects by leveraging your expertise in application development. Roles & Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c/21c/23ai) across development, testing, and production environments • Install and configure RAC, Oracle Data guard, Active Data Guard for Oracle databases • Monitor database services, listeners, and scheduled backups; troubleshoot and resolve failures • Perform database refreshes using RMAN and logical backups (export/import) • Manage physical and logical database structures including tablespaces, indexes, and schema objects • Implement and maintain database security, including user access, roles, and password policies • Generate audit artifacts for compliance (e.g., SOX) and coordinate with vendors for patching and root cause analysis • Administer Unix/Linux systems (Red Hat, AIX, Solaris) supporting Oracle workloads • Manage system performance, patching, and kernel tuning to support database SLAs. • Automate routine tasks using shell scripting and configuration management tools. • Monitor system logs, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. • Support disaster recovery planning and execution, including backup validation and failover testing. • Work closely with application teams, infrastructure leads, and security teams to ensure database and system integrity. • Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and compliance audits. • Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure modernization initiatives (e.g., DBaaS, cloud migration) Professional & Technical Skills: • 5+ years of experience in Oracle DBA and Unix/Linux system administration roles. • Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, ODG, ADG, and RMAN. • Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting and system-level troubleshooting. • Experience with monitoring tools (OEM, Nagios, etc.) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA). • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI) and database migration strategies. • Familiarity with Oracle Exadata, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and multitenant architecture • Knowledge of ITIL processes and audit frameworks (SOX, ISO 27001). • Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet. Additional Information: • This position is based at our Mumbai office. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
