Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of projects and serving as the main liaison for all application-related activities. The position demands coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet business needs while managing timelines and deliverables effectively. The engineer will also oversee the integration of components and troubleshoot issues to maintain smooth operation throughout the software lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of design and development processes.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing applications to enhance performance and scalability.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Ab Initio.
- Strong understanding of data processing and integration techniques.
- Experience in designing and implementing complex data workflows.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and version control systems.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Ab Initio.
- This position is based at our Kolkata office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
