Summary: As an Application Designer, you will assist in defining requirements and designing applications to meet business process and application requirements. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of Workday Financial Accounting Core. Your typical day will involve collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, designing and developing applications, and providing technical solutions to meet business needs. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Design and develop applications to meet business process and application requirements. - Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of applications. - Provide technical guidance and support to the development team. - Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. - Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback. - Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs. - Perform unit testing and ensure the quality of deliverables. - Document technical specifications and user manuals. - Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications. - Train end-users on the functionality of the applications. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Workday Financial Accounting Core. - Experience with Workday Financial Accounting Core implementation and configuration. - Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and processes. - Knowledge of Workday integration tools and techniques. - Experience in designing and developing Workday custom reports and dashboards. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Workday Financial Accounting Core certification. - Experience with other Workday modules such as Payroll, Human Capital Management, or Time Tracking. - Experience with Workday Studio for advanced integrations. - Experience with Workday security and role-based permissions. - Experience with Workday Business Process Framework. - Recommendation: Proficiency in SQL and database management. - Recommendation: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Workday Financial Accounting Core. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full-time education is required. - Workday Financial Accounting core experience and certification mandatory
