Experience Level: 6+ Years Job Summary: The Manhattan TMS Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the implementation, optimization, and support of the Manhattan Transportation Management System (TMS) within the organization. This role requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on involvement in the day-to-day operations of TMS. The candidate will lead a team of TMS analysts and developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful execution of transportation management processes to improve logistics efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Lead the TMS Team: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of TMS analysts and developers, ensuring high performance, productivity, and continuous learning. System Implementation & Support: Oversee the implementation and ongoing optimization of the Manhattan TMS platform, ensuring it meets business objectives, compliance standards, and operational requirements. Project Management: Plan and execute projects related to the TMS system, ensuring on-time delivery, resource allocation, and alignment with business goals. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., supply chain, logistics, and IT teams) to identify requirements, provide updates, and ensure effective TMS operations. Process Improvement: Continuously identify areas for system and process improvements, driving operational efficiencies and cost reductions in transportation management. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Serve as the escalation point for complex issues within the TMS and coordinate with the technical team to resolve them quickly and effectively. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze transportation data, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to optimize routes, reduce transportation costs, and improve service levels. Vendor & Carrier Management: Collaborate with external vendors and carriers to ensure smooth integration and functionality within the TMS. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience working with Manhattan TMS or similar systems, with a proven track record of leading teams in a logistics/transportation environment. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Manhattan TMS functionalities, configuration, integration, and optimization. Familiarity with supply chain management principles and logistics processes. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities with experience mentoring and developing team members. Project Management: Experience in managing large-scale system implementations, upgrades, and optimization projects within transportation or supply chain operations. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues. Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at various levels. Certifications: Relevant certifications in TMS, supply chain management, or project management are a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in diverse industry sectors such as retail, manufacturing, or logistics. Exposure to agile methodologies and continuous improvement processes. Knowledge of complementary systems such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
