Project Role : Operations Engineer
Project Role Description : Support the operations and/or manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreement.
Must have skills : Cassandra Database

Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education
Summary: Candidate needs to have mandatory exp. of DataStax Roles & Responsibilities: Mandatory skill DataStax Willing to work on 24/7 shifts Hands-on experience with Cassandra tools (node tool, cqlsh, OpsCenter) Primary operational support for assigned database environments, as well as backup support for other environments with 24/7 support Proficiency in Apache Cassandra administration (backups, repairs, upgrades) Responsible for database and system performance, including database monitoring, problem analysis, and tuning activities to ensure optimum database performance Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical database incidents Work with application development groups and system administrators to determine the best storage, access, and distribution methods for data Participate as a project team member providing vital information regarding database tools, structure, physical design and implementation Professional & Technical Skills: 3 to 5yrs years of experience in DataStax Cassandra Candidates should possess a strong bash or ksh scripting experience DataStax Database maintenance DataStax Experience with backups / restores DataStax Experience with other NoSQL databases Hands-on experience in performance tuning Cassandra ring Advanced knowledge and experience with Cassandra, OpsCenter Exposure to how Map-Reduce/Hive/Pig jobs can run on Cassandra Excellent communication is a must Additional Information: Good to have Knowledge on any other database technologies (MSSQL, ORACLE, Postgres, Redis and DB2)
