Position: Senior Storage Solutions Architect Responsibilities: 1. Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of complex enterprise storage solutions, encompassing VMAX, NetApp, PowerMax, Nimble, and DataDomain platforms. 2. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop storage architecture designs that align with organizational goals and objectives. 3. Evaluate existing storage infrastructure and propose enhancements, upgrades, or replacements to improve performance, scalability, and reliability. 4. Design and implement data protection strategies, including backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions, leveraging the features and capabilities of diverse storage platforms. 5. Conduct comprehensive assessments of storage environments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs. 6. Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of storage engineers, mentoring junior members and fostering skill development and knowledge sharing. 7. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in storage solutions, evaluating new products and features for potential adoption and integration. 8. Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to procure hardware and software, negotiate contracts, and oversee implementation and integration activities. 9. Develop and maintain documentation, including architectural diagrams, configurations, procedures, and best practices, to support knowledge transfer and compliance with standards. 10. Serve as a subject matter expert for storage-related projects and initiatives, providing technical advice, troubleshooting assistance, and recommendations for resolution of complex issues. 11. Participate in the planning and execution of storage-related projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets. Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 2. 9 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise storage solutions, with expertise in VMAX, NetApp, PowerMax, Nimble, and DataDomain platforms. 3. Proven track record of leading large-scale storage projects from conception to completion, including architecture design, implementation, and optimization. 4. Deep understanding of storage architectures, technologies, and protocols, including SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, and object storage. 5. Extensive experience with storage virtualization, thin provisioning, deduplication, compression, and other advanced storage features. 6. Strong proficiency in storage management and monitoring tools, such as Unisphere, OnCommand System Manager, PowerMax Manager, Nimble Infosight, and DataDomain System Manager. 7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex storage issues and perform root cause analysis. 8. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders, team members, and vendors. 9. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience mentoring and coaching team members and driving collaboration and innovation. 10. Relevant certifications such as EMC Proven Professional, NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), Nimble Storage Certified Implementation Professional (NCIP), and DataDomain Certified Implementation Specialist are highly desirable.
