Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Summary: As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for administering, developing, testing, and demonstrating databases. Your typical day will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, performing backup/recovery, and configuration management using Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration skills. Roles & Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain new databases using Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration skills. - Perform backup/recovery and configuration management of databases. - Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database functionality and performance. - Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate access controls and data encryption measures. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with other database management systems such as Oracle or MySQL. - Strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling. - Experience with backup and recovery procedures. - Experience with database performance tuning and optimization. - Solid grasp of database security and access control measures. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful database solutions. - This position is based at our Mumbai office.
