What would you do? Power System Engineer will play a vital role in the planning, development, and operation of electrical power systems. This role involves designing and analyzing power generation, transmission, and distribution systems to ensure they are efficient, reliable, and meet safety standards. The engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues, performing system analysis, and optimizing the performance of electrical grids. Investment project management and control capabilities related to grid assets to enable the energy transition (e.g. transmission interconnections).
What are we looking for? Qualifications: Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus) or related field. Master’s degree (optional, but preferred). Experience: 1~3 years of experience in power systems engineering or a related field. Familiarity with grid stability, protection, and control systems. Skills: Strong understanding of electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution. Proficiency in power system modeling, simulation, and analysis. Knowledge of electrical protection systems and control strategies. Proficiency in using industry-standard software tools. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of renewable energy integration into power systems. Familiarity with smart grid technologies and energy storage solutions. Experience in power system optimization and energy management.
Roles and Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: System Design and Development: Design electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution networks. Develop and optimize electrical grid layouts and configurations to ensure system reliability and efficiency. Ensure systems meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines. Power System Analysis: Perform load flow analysis, fault analysis, stability studies, and protection coordination. Evaluate the performance of electrical systems under various operating conditions. Use simulation software (e.g., PSCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT) for analysis and modeling.
