What you need to know • Primary Function – Perform risk assessment of facilities under construction from a property insurance loss prevention perspective in support of global Account Engineers and Underwriters. Such occupancies within Construction portfolio include all kind of from builindgs, refineries, power plants, tunnels, budges & similar civil infra • The risk assessment will be completed by conducting an analysis of submitted values as well as information on the civil project such as soil info, construction design drawings, fire protection drawings, project schedule/plan or loss prevention risk reports from a variety of sources. The candidate must be able to interpret these reports and be able to translate the information into risk quality opnions and fire/Nat Cat loss estimates following company guidelines and utilizing available tools and utilities. Specific job responsibilities for desktop reviews would include the following: • Carry out desk top reviews, interpreting and summarising of third-party survey report information • Define testing and commissioning reporting requirements to demonstrate readiness for transfer from construction to operational insurance cover • Develop, coordinate and deliver survey programs for account risk assessment. • Provide global engineering support to underwriters of prospective and existing accounts. • Develop, coordinate and deliver service plans to meet client needs including stewardship meetings. • Perform quality control / peer reviews on work completed by staff engineers. • Provide technical expertise to train new/existing staff. Lead and conduct knowledge sharing sessions regularly • Provide support in various engineering projects to support business
What are we looking for? What we’re looking for: • Preferably a Civil / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering degree with a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in the field working for General EPC Contractor / Civil Engineering Film / Geotechnical Engineering Company. • Candidate must be able to work with little direct supervision, reliable and dependable • The candidate ideally should have property insurance account / field engineering experience or relevant industry experience between 3 to 8 years with focus on civil infrastructure • Understanding of Specific Civil / Structural expertise in Highways, Bridges, Tunnels and possibly High-rise structures is an added advantage • Extensive knowledge and experience of field construction and facility operations • Knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, procedures and techniques • Working knowledge of internationally recognized design, construction, asset and fire protection standards • Extensive experience in process design, construction, commissioning and operations • Possess strong analytical skills & Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written) • Candidate must be organized, self-motivated and willing to learn about the concepts of desktop risk assessment, Occupancy, Hazard, fire • Design, Construction, Commissioing & Operations • Civil Infra Project Supervision/Management • Industrial Operations • Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) • Process Safety Management • Geotechnical Hazards and Ground Control • Fire Protection
