What would you do? "Responsibilities: • Reviewing and interpreting instrumentation and control engineering drawings, such as P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), loop diagrams, instrument location plans, and control panel layouts. • Creating detailed instrumentation and control drawings, including instrument loop diagrams, instrument installation details, cable schedules, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams, using computer-aided design (CAD) software. • Incorporating design changes and markups into existing drawings and ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards and specifications. • Generating 3D models of instrumentation and control systems, including instruments, control panels, junction boxes, cable trays, and other components, using specialized software such as Smart Plant 3D, or other 3D modeling tools. Coordinating with other engineering disciplines, such as process, piping, and electrical, to ensure clash-free design and coordination of instrumentation and control systems with other project components. • Conducting clash detection and resolving interferences between the instrumentation and control systems and other project elements using 3D modeling software. • Developing 3D visualizations of instrumentation and control systems for project presentations, coordination, and visualization of control room layouts or other relevant areas. • Assisting in the preparation of instrumentation and control material take-offs (MTOs), bill of quantities (BOQs), and material requisitions Reviewing vendor drawings and documentation for instrumentation devices, control systems, and associated equipment • Collaborating with instrumentation and control engineers and designers to resolve design issues, optimize layouts, and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements • Assisting in the preparation of construction documents, including specifications, installation details, and technical submittals for instrumentation and control systems. • Participating in design reviews, coordination meetings, and construction site visits to address technical issues, provide support, and ensure proper implementation of instrumentation and control designs. • Maintaining and organizing drawing files, models, and documentation in accordance with company standards. • Assisting in the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals for instrumentation and control systems"
What are we looking for? "Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our Service Group as an Instrumentation & Control 3D Modeler/ Draftsman. In this role, you will be contributing to the execution of the 3D modelling and the preparation of instrumentation & control engineering drawings and documents, within the Service Group which provides engineering services for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors in the Oil & Gas industry. Your understanding in instrumentation and control modelling/drafting and communication skills will be pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of projects and maintaining strong client relationships. Qualifications and skills: • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in electronic or automation engineering. Specialization or coursework in CAD drafting and 3D modeling is advantageous. • 4+ years’ experience as instrumentation and control engineering draftsman/3D modeler. Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry and/or with EPC contractors is preferential. • Strong proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and in Instrumentation Design tools like SP3D, Smart Plant Instrumentation, AVEVA E&I and similar. • Solid understanding of instrumentation and control engineering principles. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting instrumentation and automation engineering schemes and diagrams. • Effective communication skills to effectively collaborate with instrumentation and control engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to address design issues, incorporate design changes, and ensure coordination with other disciplines. • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multinational environment"
