What would you do? You will be aligned with our Finance Operations vertical and will be helping us in determining financial outcomes by collecting operational data/reports, whilst conducting analysis and reconciling transactions. Financial planning, reporting, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting Working with a team that collaborates with sales representatives, business finance leads, product managers, PS partners, Business Unit managers, IT/Hosting managers etc. during pre-signature review of pricing proposals and contracts for facilitation of approvals and revenue recognition guidance for all revenue types globally.
What are we looking for? Education requirement - B.Com, MBA or a Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance Understanding of client contracts. Excellent communication skills. Ability to understand complex calculations. Experience with software contracts and understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition accounting standard is a nice to have.
Roles and Responsibilities: •1. Prepare a Deal profile form (Checklist) for each deal & provide revenue impact/recognition/allocation details. 2. Escalate revenue recognition issues as per the Deal profile form. 3. Maintain a deal review log and update the revenue instructions when the deal is executed. 4. Use list price files to calculate discounts against list price and Standalone Selling Price, follow approval matrix to obtain relevant discount approvals for all revenue components in a deal. 5. Track proof of deliveries for all ‘installed licenses’ deals. 6. Use CRM platform to update revenue forecast for each deal. 7. Effectively manage multiple mailboxes and responses on deals assigned. 8. Assign deals above threshold to Business Unit Finance Leads through mailboxes and CRM platform. 9. Use constraint matrix to ensure the deal structure doesn’t have a negative revenue impact. If required, obtain relevant approvals. 10. Maximize revenue in current quarter by providing guidance to sales reps on payment terms/structure and their impacts on revenue. 11. Process terminations after validating the underlying/ongoing contract. 12. Prepare a weekly report for deal volumes. 13. Ability to prioritize important tasks/deals to meet turnaround time while maintaining quality & accuracy.
