What would you do? We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our organization as a Project Information Management Doman Lead, specializing in providing document control and project data management services to our Oil & Gas EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor clients. As the Project Information Management Domain Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading our document control and project data management functions, ensuring efficient and effective management of information throughout the project lifecycle.
What are we looking for? • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Data Science, Information Technology or a related field. A master s degree is a plus. • Extensive experience (at least 8 years) in document control and project data management, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in an EPC contractor environment. • Strong knowledge of document control and project data management principles, methodologies, and best practices, with an understanding of industry-specific requirements. • Proven track record of successfully managing document control and project data management functions in complex Oil & Gas projects. • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of document control and data management professionals. • Proficiency in document control procedures, including document numbering, version control, distribution protocols, and records management. • Experience in implementing and managing document management systems and tools, such as Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) or similar platforms. • Knowledge of data governance principles, data quality standards, and data classification methodologies. Knowledge of the CFIHOS standard is a plus. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders. • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 19650, and ISO 27001. • Strong business acumen and understanding of the Oil & Gas industry, including project lifecycle and regulatory requirements. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Willingness to travel as required to project sites and client locations. • Proficiency in written and spoken English. Roles and Responsibilities: • Develop and implement project information management strategies and processes tailored to the unique needs of an Oil & Gas EPC contractor, considering industry standards and best practices. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define document control and project data management requirements for each project, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client-specific requirements. • Establish and maintain clients’ document control procedures, including document numbering, version control, and distribution protocols, to ensure accurate and efficient handling of project documentation. • Oversee the management of project documents, including technical specifications, drawings, contracts, correspondence, and other project-related records, utilizing Clients’ document management systems and tools. • Lead the implementation and maintenance of a centralized project data management system, ensuring effective storage, retrieval, and sharing of project data in a secure and accessible manner. • Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures, including data quality standards, data classification, and access controls, to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of project data. • Collaborate with project teams to define data requirements, establish data collection processes, and ensure data compliance throughout the project lifecycle. • Monitor and analyze document control and data management performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary. • Liaise with the onshore Document Control Tower Lead and Data Management Tower Lead to ensure the alignment of the onshore and offshore teams and supervise the execution of the activities in full respect of the clients’ requirements. • Provide guidance and support to document control and project data management staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality service delivery. • Implement and maintain clients’ document control and project data management software and tools, staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends. • Establish effective communication channels with project teams, clients, and stakeholders regarding document control and project data management activities, ensuring timely access to accurate and relevant information. • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to document control and project data management in the Oil & Gas industry.
