Principal Duties
And Responsibilities: Brief Profile:

CFO&EV Tax Strategy and Consulting Practice consists of following services:
• Tax Function Assessment and Process Optimization
• Tax Operating Model Transformation
• Automation of Tax Systems with emerging Tax Technology Solutions for Indirect Tax
• End-to-End Tax Transformation

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Deep Indirect Tax experience in VAT, GST, SUT and expertise in Digital Tax Compliance Reporting (SAF-T, SII, e-Ledger, e-Books, e-invoicing) is advantage
• Have expertise and ability to deliver projects on implementation of Tax tools / software applications Indirect Tax (e.g.: Vertex / OneSource IDT (Sabrix) / Taxware / Avalara / Sovos) and Vertex Accelerators / Global Next / LCR-Dixon Tools
• Should have work experience preferably all the years in Finance function within ERP’s (SAP / Oracle) and skills in Indirect Tax processes, Financial and Tax reporting
• Demonstrate a breadth of experience and a depth of understanding of Finance and Tax function processes and key tax requirements to deliver large tax function consulting projects
• Experience in analysis and implementation of Tax requirements for indirect Taxes (VAT, GST, SUT) and Withholding Taxes including their integration with Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchase to Pay, Record to Report, Order to Cash and business processes to assess the key tax touchpoints and required functional specifications. Evaluating the existing systems landscape and proposed future state to identify gaps and improvement areas
• Demonstrate ability to articulate solutions to clients and sustain opinion with sufficient examples / expertise
• Demonstrate and ability to understand master data set up in ERP (SAP / Oracle) and ensure it to be tax sensitized to establish connection between ERP and external tax applications resulting in Data Driven Consulting insights
• Support business development efforts
• Support key thought leadership material / develop delivery assets on Tax function or Tax function transformation projects based on experience gained in the projects
• Provides offshore or onsite support in projects that run in different geographies and be a part of the extended project team.
• Functional experience in tax transformation projects across all or any of the phases i.e. Plan, Design, Build, Test and Deploy preferably involving implementation of Enabling technology, tools, and Software applications
• Experience on emerging tax technology, including robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, cloud solutions and business intelligence innovation

Supervises: Immediate Team

External Relationships: Clients, Third party vendors, Suppliers, Agencies

Qualifications

Qualifications: Must be a Post-Graduate (M.B.A from premier B School), C.A. or C.P.A with at least 4-8 years of experience in Finance and Accounts domain Experience: Experience • At least 4-12 years of experience with exposure to major ERP's (SAP / Oracle), tax sensitized STP, OTC and RTR processes, tax determination tools / functionalities and accrual accounting.
